Notes from the road – edition 23: Workaway

Unfortunately, I don’t have much to report on or talk about this week.

I’ve spent 7-8 hours working every day at my workaway in Amsterdam, without much of a chance to explore or take the camera out. I’ve been helping with the manual labour side of making concrete furniture and also a few woodworking projects. It’s been fun, but I’m keen to explore much more than I have been.

On Saturday Megan and I rented bikes and rode from Utrecht, where we’re staying for the weekend, to Amersfoort, a quintessentially Dutch town about 20 km’s away. Our visit coincided with a Latino festival and the Saturday markets, so the town was buzzing with activity and excitement.

Unfortunately, I left my adaptor behind in Amsterdam, so I have no way to get my photos from my camera to my laptop.

Hopefully next week I’ll have more time to write something meaningful and share more photos.

Until then, happy voyaging!
